I had some really nasty dark stains on some sandstone to look at. Used a poultice of chlorine and dry powder on the sandstone, then covered it with plastic. The chlorine should soak in and the powder will dry the stain out over a twenty four hour period. The owner said the stain had been in the stone since day 1 with no one being able to budge it. If I cant get the stain out, four stairs and rising will have to be removed and replaced.
