Marble Coating Sealant

scheduled sealing

by Mark on September 8, 2009

Matty and I travelled to CBD Brisbane last night to do regular maintenance to Louis Vuitton store. We coat the floors with a coating sealant so after 6 weeks between visits we have to lightly strip the top surfaces. We do this with a red pad on the polyvac machine and a strong chemical mix of S4S marble cleaner. After the floors are scrubbed and dry I applied 2 x coats of marble polish. At the same time, Matty scrubs the outside facades and we apply a thin coat of anti graffiti coating. With good regular maintenance the store looks as good now as when it opened years ago. They also purchased a 5ltr bottle of S4S its a great marble cleaning product that also will be used to mop the floors daily by the cleaners to keep them looking good between our scheduled visits.

Limestone

by Mark on July 6, 2009

What a day. Matt and I did half a day preparing outside limestone so that its ready to seal tomorrow.  Then got ready too go to Louis Vuitton to do our regular maintenance work on their store.

We have to clean and anti-graffiti the outside of the store. This means an S4S wash with warm – hot water then a thin layer of anti-graffiti applied.

For the internal floors we have to strip off the old sealant then apply 3 coats of new sealer.

Annoyingly half way through the job my trusty old (10 yrs)  scrubber machine broke down. Oh well it had a great run.P1040451

After stripping the floors we neutralized with bi – carb soda. the floors were neutralized, dry and ready for coating. Three thin layers were applied then we burnished them to harden the sealant slightly and to add a bit more shine.

Finally we cleaned the external entrance and then off home before the sun came up.
